Community come together in Mangotsfield

On Sunday the 13th of November, the community of Mangotsfield and the surrounding areas, came together at the Mangotsfield War Memorial to pay their respects. This annual act of remembrance has grown year on year and the area surrounding the memorial was packed with veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces, youth organisations and members of the public.

There is always a sense of community spirt at this event and the amount of attendees show how respected the day remains in peoples lives.

It is incredibly important that we continue to honour those that have served our country, and made the ultimate sacrifice.
I want to personally thank everyone that had a part in the organisation of the day and to Teresa and Clive from St James Church for leading us in prayer. Ian Campbell, Chairman of the Staple Hill & District Branch of the Royal British Legion
